Wings for Life App Run in Salzburg's Volksgarten

Running Route

We start our run in the heart of the beautiful Volksgarten in Salzburg (Hundertwasserallee) and run south along the Salzach River. At the Wilhelm-Kaufmann-Steg (after approximately 2.5 km), we cross the river and follow the steps and the Franz-Hinterholzer-Kai back to the Karolinenbrücke. There, we cross the Salzach a second time and run back to the Volksgarten via Hundertwasserallee. The entire route is approximately 5.4 km long and is also wheelchair accessible.

Running Shirts of the "Red Bulls & Friends" Running Team

As in previous years, there are again special running shirts this year featuring the design of the EC Red Bull Salzburg Wings for Life game day. On March 1st, the Red Bulls wore the specially designed jerseys in their home game against HC Innsbruck in the win2day ICE Hockey League, and these jerseys were subsequently sold to benefit Wings for Life. The running shirts feature the same design and are available with an extra €10 boost and membership in the "Red Bulls & Friends" running team.

Program with Sweepstakes

Before heading out onto the running track, every runner can participate in a warm-up program led by a professional MyGym Prime staff member. It starts at 12:40 PM.

After the run – that is, once the last participant has been overtaken by the virtual Catcher Car – there will be a sweepstakes in the Volksgarten with attractive prizes provided by EC Red Bull Salzburg and its partners. Every runner registered for the App Run in the Volksgarten is automatically entered into the draw – regardless of their distance.

Refreshments

There is a refreshment station in the start/finish area where runners can purchase fruit and drinks.

Restrooms

Public restrooms are available directly in the Volksgarten.

Getting There

Please use public transportation if possible. Parking spaces in the Volksgarten area are available but limited.
