Those who have been following the Red Bulls for a while will remember: under head coach Pierre Pagé (2007 to 2013), forwards Matthias Trattnig and Dominique Heinrich became defensemen and successfully implemented their new role for many years. Now Lukas Schreier is also reorienting himself and can concentrate on scoring goals from now on.
“It was a new situation for me because I've always played as a defender from a young age. But I immediately felt comfortable there, even though it's a completely different game.” In the summer interview, the 24-year-old tells us more and explains why the new position suits him well.
