Pioneers Vorarlberg vs. Red Bulls
This game in Vorarlberg marks the start of another intense period for the Red Bulls, during which they will play six games in eleven days until January 5. It is therefore all the more important for Salzburg to make a strong restart after their recent winning streak against Pioneers Vorarlberg.

The Red Bulls have found their form again in recent weeks, climbing back into the top six of the ICE Hockey League with a five-game winning streak. Salzburg currently holds fifth place, but only has a one-point lead over sixth-placed Bolzano, who have played two fewer games. Nevertheless, their resurgence is clearly evident and provides further confidence, culminating in a 3-0 home victory against second-placed Graz in their last game before Christmas.
Just eight days ago, the Red Bulls also celebrated a 7-0 home win against the Pioneers Vorarlberg – their biggest win of the season so far – and can therefore travel to Feldkirch with high hopes. However, the Red Bulls are under no illusions that such a performance can simply be repeated and are mindful of their last appearance in Feldkirch; at the end of October, the Vorarlberg team fought back from a 0-2 deficit to win 3-2 in overtime. They certainly know how to surpass themselves in their home arena. Six of their eight season wins were secured at home, and on December 21st, they surprised Ljubljana, who suffered a 2-5 defeat.

"Our recent winning streak has given us a new sense of confidence as a team. We want to continue like this. Every point counts; the standings are very tight at both the top and bottom. The games are just as tight, and therefore we're preparing for another tough match in Feldkirch. The Pioneers have strong individual players and can score goals from limited possession. That's what makes Feldkirch so dangerous. We lost our first game there and we don't want to let that happen again this time, even though it's always a very difficult place to play."
