Red Bull Hockey Juniors vs. Hockey Unterland Cavaliers
After a delayed start due to the late arrival of the guests, the Juniors got off to a better start and Juhola opened the scoring early on. In the second period, the Red Bulls briefly extended their lead to two goals before Unterland promptly reduced the deficit. In the final period, Nick Maul sealed the home victory for the young Salzburg team with an empty-net goal.

Game report
After a delayed start – the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers were stuck in traffic – the Red Bull Hockey Juniors got off to a good start. In the 5th minute, top scorer Jesse Juhola put his team ahead when he deflected a shot from Alexander Rebernig (1-0). Shortly afterwards, it was time for the power play: Paul Oberhauser hit the post in the 8th minute. Back to five-on-five, Florian Lanzinger also tested the metal (9th minute). The Juniors kept up the pressure, while Unterland tried to relieve the pressure with counterattacks. Goalie Valentin Ankirchner remained confident.
The second period began evenly. Both teams created chances before a 5-minute penalty for cross-checking plus a game misconduct penalty against Paul Lemke (25th) shifted the momentum to the South Tyroleans. Unterland spent a long time in Salzburg's third, with Marek Potsinok hitting the crossbar in the 27th minute. However, the Juniors survived the five-minute penalty without conceding a goal and then found their way back into the game. In the 34th minute, Fabian Baumann converted a rebound from Florian Lanzinger to make it 2-0. Just 25 seconds later (35th), the visitors responded: Vili Pisetta broke through on his own and reduced the deficit to 2-1. The game then developed into an evenly matched duel with the home side enjoying a slight offensive advantage.
The Cavaliers got off to a better start in the final period and tested Ankirchner early on. Unterland pushed for the equalizer, with the Juniors now finding it harder to get shots on goal. The pace picked up as both teams sought the next goal. In the final phase, the visitors increased the pressure once again and pulled their goalie for a sixth field player. Nick Maul scored into the empty net 3 seconds before the end to make it 3-1, sealing the first home win of the season.
