Game report In their first away game of the season, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors quickly found their rhythm, controlling the game early on and establishing themselves in the offensive zone. Asiago initially played compactly, keeping the center tight and waiting for mistakes. An early power play brought the first big chances for the Red Bulls – and Paul Oberhauser beat goalkeeper Rudy Rigoni from close range in the 6th minute after a pass from Fabian Baumann to make it 1-0. In the 12th minute, Jesse Juhola increased the lead to 2-0, shooting the puck into the net from a sharp angle from behind the goal line. Shortly before the first intermission, Jakob Schnabl made it 3-0 with a shot from the blue line through heavy traffic in front of the goal (19th minute).
At the start of the second period, Asiago changed goalies: Rudy Rigoni made way for Riccardo Santangelo. The home team got into the game better, but Juniors goalie Luca Haitzmann remained steadfast and saved several dangerous counterattacks. The Red Bulls briefly struggled to find gaps in the Italian defense, and the battles became more intense. Then Salzburg took control again: 16-year-old Nico Koschek took advantage of a rebound from Juhola's shot in the 29th minute to make it 4-0. Just two minutes later (31st), Juhola added another goal – again from almost the same position and a sharp angle – to make it 5-0. Asiago did not give up and made it 1-5 in the 33rd minute through Steven Bellini after some impressive teamwork with Nicholas Porco and Robert Calisti. The home side now played more offensively and looked to score from all positions, but another goal did not materialize.
In the final period, the Juniors initially had an early power play but were unable to capitalize on it and soon found themselves shorthanded – however, they weathered the storm with confidence. Back to five-on-five, Asiago came back, with Filippo Rigoni reducing the deficit to 2-5 in the 47th minute with a shot from the blue line. The appropriate response followed immediately: Maxim Eliseev increased the lead to 6-2 just 18 seconds later (48th minute) after an assist from Jakob Schnabl. Eliseev put the final nail in the coffin in the 59th minute, making it 7-2.

Head Coach Teemu Levijoki
"We've played well in recent games, but we haven't been consistent in taking our chances. Today we managed to do that. Asiago kept gaining momentum, but we stopped them in their tracks and Luca Haitzmann backed us up. I'm particularly pleased with how quickly the young players are settling into the team. Take Nico Koschek, for example, who scored his first league goal at the age of 16. The team put in a very good performance on the ice today."
