First the practice, then the theoryFans of the Future again with summer semester// Fans of the FutureLukas Schreier and Mario Huber paid a visit to SMS Hof and told the 4th grade about their everyday life as professional hockey players. For the students, this was a kind of follow-up to their visit to the game on Feb 16 - a 4:2 home win against Asiago.Junior coach Mathias Barth said it recently in his article about the junior camp at the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy: ice hockey has long since evolved from a winter sport to a year-round sport. In this light, the Red Bulls are now also visiting school classes in the summer as part of Fans of the Future, if this is not possible in the current season and is compatible with the current training.

Insights into Hubsi and Luki's everyday 'life as teachers'
Lukas Schreier and Mario Huber were happy to take the time to visit two school classes with around 30 pupils before the next fitness session and clarify ‘a few open details’ that came up during the match visit. There was always an answer to the two professional players' questions: if the very committed class teacher Wolfgang Knapp - accompanied by two colleagues - didn't step in, Eva did.
Eva - as it turned out - watched almost all of the Red Bulls' games last season and was therefore naturally well informed. No question that, as the biggest Red Bulls fan in the class, she also slipped into the ice hockey gear and was visibly happy about the exchange with the two Red Bull stars.
It was only the measurements for an ice hockey goal that caused uncertainty - among both pupils and players. This should be made up for here: The internal dimensions are 1.22 m in height with a width of 1.83 m. But our strong World Cup goalkeeper David Kickert (pictured) certainly knew that!
After a joint class photo and autographs, the lesson was already over. Probably far too quickly for the pupils, as an English test was already waiting afterwards...
