Niki Kraus is looking forward to his second season with the Red Bulls A long injury break hasn't stopped the fighter // Team updateAfter moving from Klagenfurt to Salzburg last summer, Niki Kraus has won his third ICE Hockey League title with the Red Bulls and is now looking forward to continuing his successful partnership with a current contract.
It's not often that a long-serving player moves from league rivals KAC to EC Red Bull Salzburg. In the case of Niki Kraus, this has paid off in full; the 28-year-old forward came to Salzburg highly motivated and ended his first season with the Red Bulls after nine years in Klagenfurt by winning the title. After two league titles with the KAC (2019 and 2021), this was his third success in the pan-European professional league.
Highlights Niki Kraus
The athletic player stands for aggressive physical play and is a fast winger who also makes full use of his experience. His fighter mentality is an important building block in the Red Bulls' team play and was also evident last season in the way the Vienna native fought his way back from a two-and-a-half month injury layoff. As a result, Kraus was only able to play 23 games in the basic round (2 goals, 3 assists), but was back in full force in the playoffs - with another goal and 2 assists, among other things - and thus played his part in Salzburg's recent championship title.
