We are of course talking about Atte Tolvanen, our Finnish goalkeeper, who has backed up the Red Bulls in goal since the fall of 2021 and has played a major role in the last three championship titles. The last encounter against a Finnish team was, of all things, the last game of the 2023-24 CHL Regular Season against - precisely - the Lahti Pelicans, who denied the Red Bulls their last mini-chance of qualifying for the playoffs with a clear 5:1 win in Salzburg on October 17 last year. Atte Tolvanen wants to do things differently this time: “I can't remember much, I just know that we had a decimated team. That was certainly a factor. This year we want to prove that we can beat them.”
