Red Bulls after the international break to the big game in Klagenfurt.In today's round, Salzburg is free of play// win2day ICE Hockey LeagueOn Sunday, November 17th, 2023, exactly 14 days after their last home game against Linz, EC Red Bull Salzburg will continue their win2day ICE Hockey League regular season with a game against EC-KAC in Klagenfurt (5.30 p.m.). The starting point
For the Red Bulls, this is their first away game of the season against the KAC, after they decided the home game to open the championship on September 15th with a 4:1 victory. But there are almost two months between these two games, during which a lot has happened.
The Red Bulls had the best start to the season in club history so far and could start the game on Sunday as league leaders, unless Hydro Fehérvár AV19 takes away this position with a win in today's round - the Red Bulls are not playing. The Salzburg squad has recovered well in the last two weeks, after up to eleven players were out due to illness in the last two ICE rounds. On Sunday, all players should be fit again, except for Benjamin Nissner.
The KAC is in fifth place in the table and said goodbye to the international break two weeks ago with a 4:2 win in the derby against the strong VSV. Once again, the Klagenfurt team benefited from their current home strength. So far, only one team, the HCB Südtirol Alperia, has won in Klagenfurt in nine home games.
The opponent
The KAC has many accurate shooters that make the team so compact. Jan Mursak stands out with 9 goals, followed by Lukas Haudum with 7, Nick Petersen with 6 and four players with 5 goals each. Like the Red Bulls, the KAC also has many strong Austrians in the team - such as Johannes Bischofberger, Thomas Hundertpfund and Manuel Ganahl - who can make the difference with their performance.
Another advantage besides that of the home game: After the break, the Klagenfurters have their first game in Hungary today, while the Red Bulls are still free of play and will only re-enter the game on Sunday.

Especially in Klagenfurt it's not easy to play and that's why we expect another hard game. We know their home strength, but we still want to bring them their second home defeat."
