The win2day ICE Hockey League will feature 13 teams in the 2025/26 season, as in the previous season. Asiago Hockey has been eliminated, and a second Hungarian club, FTC-Telekom Budapest, has been added. This brings the league's total to eight Austrian teams, two each from Italy and Hungary, and one Slovenian team. EC Red Bull Salzburg is the defending champion.
The regular season will consist of a double home-and-away round. The teams ranked first through sixth after 48 matchdays qualify directly for the playoff quarterfinals. The teams ranked seventh through tenth will compete in the pre-playoffs in a best-of-three format, with the seventh-place team choosing whether to play against the ninth- or tenth-place team. The winners of these two series will complete the quarterfinal field.
The quarterfinal pairings will also be determined by a playoff pick. The top three teams after the regular season select their opponents. The fourth-place team is not eligible for selection and will face the team not selected in the draft. The quarterfinals, semifinals, and final will be played in a best-of-seven format. The first team to achieve four wins advances to the next round.
