Born and raised in Mannheim in 2004, he learned to play hockey at the ERC Mannheim.
In 2018, his path led him to the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy in Liefering. At the age of 16, he played in the Red Bulls U20 team and scored 5 goals and 9 assists in 15 games.

His path through the academy:
With steadily improving performances, the organization's trust in Phillip grew. He established himself in the ALPS Hockey League in 2022 and contributed to the most successful season in the history of the Red Bull Hockey Juniors.
The result: two guest appearances in the DEL for Red Bull Munich as well as the participation in the U20 World Championship with the German national team.
The next step is the Win2Day Ice Hockey League. On Friday, Phillip debuted against the KAC, on Sunday he contributed to the 2:3 comeback against the Graz99ers.
Daniel Petersson (Assistant Coach & Defense Coach):
"I have known him since he came to the academy in 2018. Not as his coach, but since and I worked closely with other coaches, I saw him a lot and we got to know each other. In the summer of 2021 we were on the ice a lot together. That's when I got to know him even better and he worked hard on himself.
With his strong season last year he recommended himself for bigger tasks. His strengths are his understanding of the game, especially offensively and the ability to always find solutions. Our common goal is to help him develop further with more ice time and good training performances. We want to emphasise his strengths so that he can establish himself on the professional level and take the next step."
