Off to FinlandPre-season preparation starts in Tampere// #NextLevelFür die Spieler der U17 AKA, U20 AKA und der Red Bull Hockey Juniors startet die Saisonvorbereitung bei der Summer Heat Challenge’23 in Tampere, Finnland. In addition to opponents such as Lahti Pelicans, Tampereen Ilves and Tappara Tampere, the players of the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy can expect not only games against very strong teams, but also a very good opportunity to get back together. Don Jackson, former Head Coach of Red Bull Munich, will also be there, and in his new role as Head of Coaching Development he will not only be looking at the coaches, but also the players.
For the DEL record-breaking coach, the actual goal of the tournament is clearly defined:
"I don't know exactly what we can expect yet, but I'm looking forward to spending time with the players and getting to know them. However, one of our sporting goals is to play hard and smart in every game. We have very talented young players here. It certainly won't be easy against these Finnish teams, but that's exactly the challenge we want for our lads. It's always easy when everything is going well. However, when things don't go so well against stronger teams, it gets very interesting. That's when you see how we are doing. How do we react to that? Do we stay focused or do we let it affect us? Mastering this challenge and learning how to deal with such situations will be the main goal we want to achieve with the players."
