The Aircraft Fleet Up Close: Where Technology Meets Passion
Airplanes, helicopters, and lightning-fast race cars: For our 25 kids, Hangar-7 became the ultimate adventure playground on April 23rd. The special thing? There are no dusty museum pieces here. Every exhibit is fully operational! We learned: Everything that shines, roars, and flies here takes to the skies or racetracks around the world with full horsepower. The eyes of fans of all ages grew wider and wider as they listened to the exciting stories about the world of aviation.
Right in the thick of it: Rob brings the action!
Our club mascot, Rob, provided an extra dose of fun. He explored the world of the Flying Bulls with the kids, was always up for a bit of mischief, and proved that he's not just a star on the ice, but also among airplane wings.
Goosebump Moments: Formula 1 & Live Turbine Check
The absolute highlight got the little stars' hearts racing: We were standing right in front of Max Verstappen's world championship-winning car! You never get this close to a real Formula 1 race car otherwise – a true once-in-a-lifetime moment for our Checkers.
But that wasn't all: When a live turbine check was suddenly performed, it was time to cover our ears! It got loud, it got smoky, and the fascination was written all over every child's face. With wide-eyed wonder, the kids were glued to the windows, not wanting to miss a single second of this technical spectacle.
An Unforgettable Finale
To top it all off, there was a really cool photo opportunity in front of the spectacular airplane backdrop. Every child in the Checker Gang got to take a personal souvenir photo with Rob in front of this magnificent aircraft.
