Season ending

Red Bulls congratulate Pustertal on their sporting successSeason finale with fans on March 25// win2day ICE Hockey League | Fans Despite the loss in the quarterfinals against Pustertal, the playoff series was a nail-biter. Two overtimes and the other two games decided by just one goal reflect the evenly matched battle between the two teams. Pustertal ultimately prevailed.
After four consecutive championship titles and thus always maximum-length seasons, Salzburg's run ended this year after the quarterfinals, very early in the postseason. Hopes of extending the series persisted until the 106th minute of the third overtime of Game 4 in Bruneck. But then it was all over, and the Red Bulls had to painfully acknowledge that their season was truly over.
HC Falkensteiner Pustertal proved to be the tough opponent they were expected to be, finding ways in every game to score more goals than the Red Bulls and securing victory with a rock-solid defense. This performance deserves recognition.
The Red Bulls congratulate HC Falkensteiner Pustertal on reaching the playoff semifinals and wish the South Tyrolean team continued success.

Chance of 2026/27 CHL Participation Still Alive
For the Red Bulls, their elimination in the quarterfinals brings an end to a proud streak: 12 consecutive seasons – more than any other team in the ICE Hockey League – they had always reached at least the semifinals until last season (with the exception of the COVID-affected season). With a total of ten league titles, the Red Bulls remain the record champions of the win2day ICE Hockey League even after the current season.
The Red Bulls no longer control their own destiny regarding participation in the 2026/27 CHL. However, the chance remains: Graz and Klagenfurt, the two top-ranked teams after the regular season, have already secured their spots. The third spot goes to the new league champion. Should Graz or Klagenfurt win the title, the open starting spot will go to the third-place finisher of the regular season, the Red Bulls.
Season Finale with Fans at Two Seasons
To conclude the season, the Red Bulls invite their fans to a get-together at the Two Seasons stadium restaurant. Players and coaches of the Salzburg professional team are looking forward to reviewing the season with their fans and saying goodbye for the summer.
