Series switches to Bolzano | Red Bulls aim for second semi-final win Luca Auer: “We expect a hot game”// win2day ICE Hockey League | PlayoffsIn the playoff semi-final series of the win2day ICE Hockey League, EC Red Bull Salzburg will face HCB Südtirol Alperia for the second time tomorrow, Friday, in Bolzano (7:45 p.m., livestream). After a successful start with the 3:1 win in Salzburg two days ago, the Red Bulls expect a dogged HCB in the first away game of the series, who will try to play to their strengths even more in front of their own fans and even out the series.

Starting position
With their first semi-final win against Bolzano, the Red Bulls have also taken the series lead and will go into the second game in a playoff series with the Italians with a lead for the first time; in the previous four playoff series, Bolzano had always won the first game. The 3:1 win two days ago in Salzburg was deserved thanks to two better thirds by the Red Bulls - especially with the strong conversion of chances in the second period - and led to this novelty despite a shot ratio of 34:29 for the visitors.
Despite the general playoff toughness, both teams concentrated on playful elements, which also resulted in few penalties. In the second game in Bolzano, the Red Bulls are now preparing for a Bolzano game that will be characterized by even more physical play and speed, especially as the Italians put in the better performance in front of their own frenetic crowd.
Goalkeeper still in focus
Salzburg's Atte Tolvanen and Bolzano's Sam Harvey are among the best goalkeepers in the league and have shown this in the playoffs so far - Atte Tolvanen shone against Székesfehérvár with two shutouts. In direct comparison, the Finn has the edge in the playoffs so far, holding a 94.9% save percentage after five games. Sam Harvey has a saving percentage of 93.2% after six playoff games.

“We're expecting a hot game. It took us a while to get into the game in the first match. But now we're in the series and we have to keep going like this. Both teams haven't played their hardest yet, so we'll see what happens in the second game. But we know what we have to work on and are working towards the second win.”
