Vadim Schreiner nominated for Young Star selectionThe 19-year-old striker has made a strong debut in the Salzburg professional team this season // ICE Young Star-Wahl des MonatsThe “Young Star of the Month” has been selected for the second time this season. Four young players who have shown strong performances in November are up for election. Vadim Schreiner is competing for the Red Bulls in his first ICE season.Fan voting is open until Sunday, December 8, at 10:00 pm. In addition, the TV experts from Austria, Italy and Slovenia will once again cast their votes.
The 19-year-old Vadim Schreiner is the youngest player nominated for the Young Star of the Month for November. The German is currently in his first season with the professionals of EC Red Bull Salzburg. In recent years, the center went through the junior teams at the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy and has also been part of the Alps Hockey League team since the 2022/23 season.
Schreiner appeared in five games in the win2day ICE Hockey League in November. The left-shooter even scored three times and also had a +/- of +2. Schreiner would also have been nominated for the German U20 national team and the upcoming U20 World Cup, but was unfortunately injured recently and will therefore be out for several weeks.

Procedure of the voting
First, five monthly winners will be determined. Four players per month will be nominated to take part in the voting. Due to only a few match days in September 2024, the first two months were combined into one election. The five monthly winners will then compete for the title of “Young Star of the 2024/25 season” at the start of the playoffs.
The election consists of two components: in addition to the fan voting on the league website, the TV experts from Austria, Italy and Slovenia also cast their votes. If two or more players receive the same number of votes, they will be ranked according to the result of the fan vote.
