It was not the start Troy Bourke wanted before his first season (2022/23). The 30-year-old forward had barely arrived when he suffered an injury after the fifth game in the basic round and then had to sit out all games until the playoffs or fight his way back with difficulty. But the Canadian showed his qualities again in the playoffs.
Troy was also slowed down by injuries in his second season, but was once again one of Salzburg's best players in the playoffs on the way to the title. So far this season, the goal-scorer has played all games in the CHL and ICE Hockey League and, with nine goals, has already scored almost as many goals as in the last full basic round (11).
Tonight against the Pioneers Vorarlberg, the striker will make his 100th appearance for the Red Bulls in the win2day ICE Hockey League. A good opportunity to explore with him why things are going so well and to take a look at his time with the Red Bulls so far.
