Red Bulls warned against the 'new' Pioneers Salzburg aim for fourth win in Sunday home game against Feldkirch // win2day ICE Hockey LeagueEC Red Bull Salzburg continues the regular season of the win2day ICE Hockey League tomorrow, Sunday, with a home game against the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg (17:30, Puls 24).After the first three rounds, the Red Bulls want to keep their clean slate against the Vorarlberg team, but are prepared for a Vorarlberg team that has surprised with a fresh lineup so far.
Forward Mario Huber
"With the last two thirds in yesterday's game against Székesfehérvár we could be satisfied. We have to perform like that against the Pioneers, because they also started the season well. We definitely have that on our radar, but still look more at our own performance and want to take the next steps forward."

The starting position
The Red Bulls have made a good start to the new championship season with three wins from their first three games, keeping them in second place in the table behind VSV, who are on top with nine points, and they want to continue the streak tomorrow at home against the Pioneers. In yesterday's 4:1 away win against strong Hungarians, the Salzburgers found exactly the right ingredients to score away from home with a very good defense and efficient finishing.
They want or rather have to show these virtues on the ice against the Pioneers as well, because the team from Vorarlberg has also shown strength so far with a mostly newly formed team and new head coach. The initial away defeat against Pustertal, third in the table, was followed by two home victories against Asiago and only yesterday clearly with 4:1 against Linz. Thus the Feldkircher hold at the moment on the fifth table place.
The opponent
The BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg were newly founded only last year in Feldkirch and at their Bundesliga premiere initially still occupied the last place after the basic round. In the summer, a new head coach was installed in the form of 39-year-old Canadian Dylan Stanley, who himself still played in the AHL in Feldkirch until 2021 and already coached the team as an assistant coach last season. In addition, about half the team was replaced. Forward Oskar Maier switched from the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy to Feldkirch in the summer and has already scored twice in the first two games for his new club.
